When the fuzz kicks in... yyyyeeeeeiiiikes. Oooohhhhh the ripping buzziness. I'm not sure what a Melxowtone actually sounds like in person, and it may be the shitty quality of the audio/video, but that sounds GREAT. It's almost like kinda 8-bit but with way more clarity and without the goofiness.
Eric, if you built a pedal that sounded exactly like this video (and not even necessarily a Melx 1 or 2 [I know you've done this and the Melx2, BUT STILL]) and added a volume knob and, I don't know, a fuzz knob and an AC jack and then just made it one of your main pedal line, I WOULD BUY IT.

I like it alone but it really shines when you run it into another fuzz!

You need Eric's patented "super happy" clean tone first.

Yeah it's a pretty amazing fuzz tone alright!!! Watched this video a few times actually. Tempted to build myself one of these seeing as I'll already be putting in an order for parts to build a Wizard Fountain

Now, all I need to decide is whether to bother with knobs or not????

Yeah great sounding pedal! I've pretty much settled on it as my review dirt box for showing what dirt sounds like though a nondirt pedal [phase, trem, filter ect...] when I actually get around to recording more demos...

Its simplicity was really refreshing -- I liked my Melx2 a lot. I liked changing the way it sounded by using the guitar's controls. And I liked the art.
But I'm poor and stupid and up for trades was a Ruiner that I wanted to mod. One day I'll get a Melx2 again...and an old CC/DC!

I REALLY want a Melxowtone or Melx2, and have done for ages. Was broke when the Melx2 thing was open. So bummed to have missed out on it. Also just missed out on the few that have turned up in the BST on various sites. That said, I'm not particularly interested in buying one at greatly inflated prices. I find it kinda douchey especially seeing as it's the opposite of what the pedal and Mellowtone are about. The quest continues

I has your melx2, your sweet sweet melx2. I learned my lesson selling the last melx2 I had.

I'll take one off you! It's ok, I don't mind. No really, it's not trouble at all

Who ended up with the one I traded with you?
I kinda miss it sometimes...

Has anyone sold/traded a mellowtone pedal and not regretted it?
