And for anyone interested, it's Powers. Basically the best Irish whiskey ever (next to unobtanium Green Spot).

Liquid measurements have always confused the fuck out of me especially when it comes to booze. So most liquor comes in 750mL (.75L) and 1.75L and this is in a 1L bottle, am I correct? Even when I'm sober, my perspective is so fucked when it comes to this kind of thing.

Either way, whiskey = greatness. Is Wild Turkey any good? I had it once a while back, but that was when I first started drinking and I don't remember nor did I have much of a palette at the time.

Wild turkey ia alright. if we're talking about borubon you should give makers maek a try. magiclawnchair will attest to its greatness!

I have always loved :Glendfiddich, the first whiskey I ever tasted ( I believe it might have been the only good whiskey around where I lived back then) but found out I can't have a steady relationship without having fun with

And no, I'm not a single malt snob, though I can appreciate the fine stuff. I have been caught up with a bottle of Vat69, too, on several occasions. Totally decent blended with a brutish taste of smoke enough for even a totally pissed bassist, absolutely excellent companion for festivals and the back stage pre- and after parties, the annual get-to-gether-whatevers, and for the long trips through the nowhere on the back seat, or when You're just feeling a bit rough.

My knowledge of Irish Whiskey is limited, so I'll remember Powers.

As for bourbon, Wild Turkey is acceptable, but certainly not a favorite. Makers Mark has always been the one that people tend to gravitate towards, but I actually like Jim Beam Black (and even the Green) better. The standard Beam isn't good though. If I really want some good bourbon, I lean towards Bookers.

For scotch, Bassus covered a lot of the good 'uns. My fav is Caol Ila; but Talisker, Ardbeg and Laphroig are all great. Macallan is also good, but I have to been in the mood for it.

I love whiskey, especially the scotch ones.. Here they come in 0.35 l, 0.7l, 1l, 1,5l 2l and for bars they even have 5l bottles..

The best Irish whisky I've had is Redbreast. Amazing! But I'm not a huge Irish whisky dude.

I'm more of a fan of scotch whisky. Oban and Balvenie in particular. With no god damn iced cubes!

My love for bourbon lies somewhere inbetween. There's too much cheap crap that sucks ass, but Van Winkle and Woodford Reserve are pretty awesome.

Jack Daniels : Bourbon

But both are fine if you're already drunk.

Scottish whisky is whisky
Irish and bourbon are whiskey

Laphroig is good
Highland Park 25 yr old from the Orkneys is great
Lagavulin is awesome
Some of the Ardbegs are awesome (the rest are great though)
Bowmore from Islay is good
Oban is fantastic too

Glenmorangie is kinda the Coca Cola of malts. Tastes like chocolate biscuits
Glenfiddich is paint stripper

Irish whisky makes me vom. Too much sting
