The Lake Effect is also the nickname bestowed upon me by the ladies of the Great Lakes region.

I voted "Inside Voices" because I was just thinking about how "The Lake Effect" would be a good name for a band the other day, and I still want to use it.

If they don't go with Paper Ships, can I haz it?

Choosing a good band name is, like Lemmy said, next to impossible: 'my band is called fucking Motörhead'. Have to agree - his band is called Motörhead.

Gotta to go with paper ships. Don't know even what they are playing but let's assume there's drums and guitars and all.

P.S. Not like you're describing a place "inside ships", but that it's some sort of heavy internal idea or force, like the sinking Titanic in your brain or something.

I just decided "Lake Effect" sounds like either a smooth jazz group or an oldies cover band made up of people who were alive when the songs were actually popular, so you can have it.

I'd need to hear them to be sure it fit, but I went with Inside Voices because it's the name of an album I did a couple years ago.
