Sounds a lot like French in Canada. Only one fucking province here speaks the language, yet it's taught in schools across the whole country. I've got some bullshit certificate claiming I'm bilingual, but I haven't spoken more than five words at a time of French since high school.
hehe. KIDDING! But, seriously I could see spanish being the second official language here in the future. You know after all those "you want to live here, you better speak our language" rednecks die off obviously.

Also sounds like Mexican here in the US. Only two place here speak that language... Texas and Southern California.hehe. KIDDING!
