My beards always suck so I just tie my hair under my chin if it's freezing in my room
Well, I haven't really given beards a chance since you can't have one where I work...but they're never taking my hair! Thems is quittin' words!

The most I've ever grown is some short, shaggy facial hair. It does nothing for the cold, and generally makes me look sloppy, so I stay clean-shaven.

hmm. so it seems that it depends on the person (and the thickness of the beard, i guess)

I think mine has always kept more wind out, the thicker it gets the more wind it'll stop.
