blade runner, if they've seen it and genuinely dislike it I probably won't get along with them....
Tom Waits, Charles Mingus and Miles Davis...."he cant sing" "I dont get whats so great about it, its just jazz" "it all sounds the same, and he's out of tune"

I try to be openminded about this sort of stuff, I realise that I have tastes in movies and music that are not exactly the norm. But I tend to be leery of the taste/sense of humour of anyone who does not like The Big Lebowski.

I'm not saying that people have to worship them like a lot of their weirdo fanboys, but if someone genuinely doesn't like Tool, then that renders me speechless. They really do have stuff for everyone, from aggressive, pissed off stuff to slow melodic epics.
Most of the other bands I like, I can at least see reasons why other people may not like them. But not Tool.

I usually frown down upon people who don't like my friends or I, if you insult one of us it is as if you insulted all of us.
Spefically people who don't like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Beatle Juice, Anything Tim Burton, and cellists I especially don't liek cellists, they are the taint in my nice clean Orchestra!

I always just assume that people will hate things that I like. it's just the way the world works.

i generally don't give a fuck because people generally dislike what i like but i do get super mad when people hate on MGMT.
also, the strokes and NMH. anytime i've talked to someone who disliked any of those bands, they claim 'it's hipster shit' and that makes me

I'm usually on the receiving end of the taunting and derision...
Especially in high-school, when I was really into Rush...the bandmates did not approve..
that "Hipster Kitty" thing cut a little close on a few things...especially the "you've probably never heard of them.." one
...My name is Studio Shut-In...and I have a problem....I have actually said the above statement about bands that I like, when asked about bands I listen to.

Why not! I never really paint a clear picture of what it is that I like so people just assume that I'm into modern emo.
