I hate the real choppy commentary-style, where someone records 20 minutes of blathering and then just splices it together into 30 seconds of jarry "oh hey, this" *insert snide comment* "hey new topic" *dumb comment*
Case in point:

This was filmed over at least two nights. How can I tell?
Watch Frusciante. At the beginning of the video, he's playing a telecaster. A few shots later... it's a strat. A few shots later... back to tele. And so on.
It's a subtle detail, one that the editor either didn't notice or didn't care about. It bugs the snot out of me... like the "cigarette burn" on film, it takes me out of the moment.

This is what I thought would be in the OP. I don't mind this style in moderation but as in this example some people run it into the ground.

The edit doesn't bother me as much as the fact that the red hot chili peppers are allowed to make music does.

You get that kind of editing in major movies and prime time TV theses days.
And it drives me nuts.
I have been told that I am a nit picky weirdo, and normal people don’t notice those kind of things.
