Im with you but make it two years and for the second of those one girl in the class that was fluent gave me her exam after she finished it in five minutes boy was my teacher surprised how hard i studied for that test.

It's more like if you speak spanish..."tell where you are from and if you know the language because of location, or if it's something you learned in school."

I cheated my way through lots of Spanish class in high school. I do however know a bit, some I remember from class, most I've picked up in the past year. There are several Spanish speaking employees at my work, so it helps.
