...and it really made me realize that I am incredibly boring. I honestly cannot remember what I used to do before there was an internet to waste time on.

Lets see... before I had internets... wasting time.... Si-F/fantasy books, what ever anime I could hunt down, wasn't easy back then... Well I can't call playing music or building instruments a waste of time so...

Dinner parties, a cracking match of polo, cucumber sandwiches and tea at the local luncheonette, rounding up the latest serialized Dickens and huffing paint.

Huffing lots of paint.

I am getting ready to turn it off again.

If I didn't have internet for a month, I could probably get my entire 1-hour album done instead of it taking years

Before the Internet? People watched TV. Maybe read a book.

Before that? Radio. Maybe read a book.

Before that? Read a book(if you knew how to read).

Before that? Spend time trying to survive.

Humans as a general race have never done anything awesome with their free time. The internet is actually one of the best things we've come up with since it's actually interactive and diverse. It's healthier than being in front of the TV, anyway. For once we've made a step up.

You'd be surprised.

Internet and Video games aren't really an addiction, they've done a lot of studies into this. While it can be a distraction a lot of the time if you're not doing something with internet, you wouldn't do it without it.

Plus I couldn't stand making an album without internet anyway. I might run into needing help with something chord theory related, or need better drum samples, or want to get some feedback.

sometimes i wish i had this problem. i prolly have 80-100+ HOURS of just riffs saved on the computer. i have to damn many that come to mind that i want to impliment, then i never get anything done but riffing. prolly one of those grass is greener things though. . . .
