Whats your main instrument?

It's generally believed that most of the ppl here play guitar or bass. For quite a while, I thought that we had mostly guitarists with one or two bassists to provide the groove but I'm beginning to think I'm wrong. From various talks I've had with ILFers and reading all the posts in the forums, my guess is that there are far more bassists than I originally thought and I'm willing to say that there is also (or was, anyway) a far amount of tabletop music makers kicking around here, expounding their love for all things fuzzy.

So I decided to make a fun little poll, just because we haven't had one in a while. What's your main instrument? What do you use your fuzz with the most? If you could only take ONE instrument with you on a never ending tour, which would it be? You may vote only once. If you choose 'other', please be sure to post what it is you play.

:)* :hello:

I voted bass, but really, it's like a 50/40/10 split (bass/synth/guitar, respectively) in Seismic Feedback. My covers band is all bass.

One instrument on a never ending tour; drums
main on a regular basis (basically becuase I have no room for my full kit right now): guitar
what do I use fuzz with the most?
See that's tough, I enjoy it most on bass and maybe drums depending on the fuzz...but I actually use it mostly on guitar :/

30% vocals
25% bass
25% guitar
15% feedback loops
5% keys

I use pedals with everything.

I wish I could play drums.

Mostly guitar. I play piano when I can. I play bass when I record my own music or if a local band needs a fill in.

Mostly bass in my band band, but bass / computer / tenor guitar / fx as instruments unto themselves in my solo thang.

i played bass for like 3 years and got pretty good, then i kinda plateaued and got bored, although i still love a good bass line and always seem to focus on the bass in a song, been listening to a lot of dubstep the last few years too. for a few months i've played guitar, muscle memory has meant that i'm pretty decent but when i started chords were a totally new concept to me as a player haha. anyway the one constant in my music playing has always been fuzz, gotta love fuzz.

i wish i was a master at ableton or something though, so i could just spend my time making sick beats and dance floor stompers, but i downloaded the trial for ableton and it was quickly overwhelming. i had no idea what i was doing.

I voted tabletop to be controversial.

Seriously though, I spend an equal amount of time looping and manipulating loops/sounds on the "table" than I do actually touching strings.
