What would be the proper wiring for a starve control knob on a Eau Clair Thunder??

If by "starve" you mean lowering the amount of juice going to the circuit, then it's the same for any pedal. Just put a pot (or trimmer) between the 9v jack (or battery) and the main 9v IN pad on the PCB.

So want to wire it so that the 9v jack lug is connected to lug 3 of the pot. Then connect lug 3 directly to lug 2. Then wire lug 1 of the pot to the 9V IN pad on the PCB.

does that starve effect the voltage going to any pedals that are further down the chain?

will it oscillates like crazy like the great destroyer or something else making those weird noises??

No. It only places resistance between the pedal in question and the power supply. It will have no effect on any other pedals in the chain.

There's not way for me to tell without testing it. I kinda doubt it, however. For most transistor fuzz circuits, things get gated, glitchey, scratchy as the voltage is reduced. For an IC-based fuzz, you probably will get very similar performance until you get low enough that the IC will turn off and then you won't hear any output at all.

I think the Great Destroy is IC-based.

Rather than modding your pedal without knowing if it will be a useful change, why not build the DeVolt from Beavis Audio? It's an external voltage starve/sag control that can be used with any pedal having a 9v jack. Link:

Please note, introducing series resistance will limit the available current as well unloaded voltage.
This may or may not have "desired" affects to the circuit in question. Full analysis of the circuit will be required in order to determine how limiting available voltage supply and current will affect the circuit in question.

If you wish to predictably change your supply voltage, consider building an adjustable linear voltage regulator. Application notes can be found in the datasheet of each respective regulator.
I can suggest starting with an LM317. Commercially available for <$0.50.

Thanx for all your replies... ..I tested it (the method on beavis audio site with the pot) and it does not do that much, a little glitchy as you roll down but nothing crazy like the TGD. Things get a little complicated for me with a voltage regulator ( I'm an ignorant in this) but Culturejam, I just ordered gruntbox pcbs so I'm gonna get a little fun with that.

Awesome! I've built 6 or 7 Muffs with that PCB, and it's really easy to work with. I came up with my tweaked version, so if you want the details I'll by happy to provide them. Actually, you can easily do the mod with a switch so you can toggle between stock Ram's Head and my own version.

You just grab a 5k pot, cut the power wire from the jack on the pedal, stick the "incoming" wire on an outside lug, and the "outgoing" wire on the middle lug. The ECT does have a sweet spot or two with reliable tonal oscillation, but nothing as mad as TGD.
