I get the feeling this could be a really cool forum if it had more people posting more often on it. After all, HC and TGP are filled with shitty mods and members, yet they get to be head honchos of the gear world. Whereas over here, we have weed and hookers.

The size has a lot to do with why there's not so many assholes and shitty mods.

On any other forum, that would probably be against the rules. But here, it's fair game (when used light-heartedly). In fact, it's actually such a tight-nit community that "You're a fucking faggot" is how we say hello to HTSamurai.

This might be because I've been here a long time, but this forum is plenty active for me.
and as McSpuncks said you can fling shit all you want as long as its in the right place.

Seriously, though, more members would be cool, but I think it's at a pretty cool level right now. I hate big forums where threads die in a day. I feel like an asshole for bumping one I wasn't done with...

fuck you guys, but yeah, looking back this is easily the most active this forums ever been.
I remember before it was ILF and still the DE forums we'd get 'maybe' a few posts a day, and if lucky a new thread
also, if I were to start a thread titled "faggot ass white boy builds shitty pedals that sound ok" folks who've been around for a while would know I was talking about spunkz and the awesome pedals he's been building and designing lately
at some point I think we've all come to the conclusion that it's a trade off we're all willing to make, awesome, though relatively few, people on a freakin beast of a forum w/ open discussion (fuck most boss, all mesa's, the vast majority of gibsons and most marshalls) and real freedom of speech (fuck you, yeah you reading this. fuck. you.)
this stuff instead of HC, TGP and the like
I like that I can text Tom and know that he's not an ass, I like that we get first news on all the cool stuff coming out, I like that if I needed a place to stay I could hit up a number of the different guys on here and have a place to eat, shower and rest up for who knows how long.

I am rather new here, but I'm making myself at home, and I hope you all don't mind.
I used to swear by Talkbass, and while it has its place, I can't remember the last time I laughed at anything funny over there (barring Mudfuzz and his recent postings
) but I laugh over here all the time.
I like how here its acceptable to answer a post with a picture of some barely related thing, and everyone else sees where you're going with it.
This place has the best B/S/T on the internets.
Its also like an opium den since we all have the same addictions and to condemn another would be to condemn ourselves. Pack it up, I say.
You guys are teh best.
Sometimes I lay awake at night and wonder what Blurillaz is doing. Sometimes I imagine him playing strip poker with Floating Opera and Magiclawnchair. In a game like that even if you lose, you win.
