so i have a '99 chevy suburban. great car. when it actualy works.
in january i replaced 2 power steering hoses. in february i replaced the radiator. then the transmission goes out. 5 months later when i finally have the money to rebuild the tranny, i have to replace my gear cable. after the tranny/cable goes in, it needs a new battery. oh, and then i need new tires.
so the new tires go on last week.
after the new tires are on, my suspension felt a little rough, and it was squeaking. looks like i need new upper and lower control arm bushings.
and tonight, MY ALTERNATOR WENT OUT.

That's what happens when you buy American.

buying 'merican rules and alternators eventually die no matter what make.that is a quick fix that you can get done within 2 hours if you do it yourself.
just take your old one to your parts store and make sure its dead/ trade in the core and get a refurbished one with a warranty.

Try owning a ‘60s muscle car.
I spent most weekends under the car or under the hood.

Dude if you have to repair the transmission, then why not get a different car used? Better than sinking more money into a car that just keeps breaking.

still better than owning any modern car with a monthly payment.

have you considered driving your car off a cliff and then claiming someone has stolen it?

Well, driving his car off a cliff will certainly solve
some of his problems. He sure won't be worrying about mechanic's bills (or anything else) any more

Sometimes cars and other things that break make me want to drive off a cliff while still
inside my car
