hello there folks! tis I - ben.

so, a friend and i are writing a sort of web series and we will probably need some music. i'm kind of guessing we will mostly need like.. instrumental ambient stuff but if you have ANY decent recordings and you are willing to let us use your stuff - feel free to post a link or email me a link (or files, or mail me a cd or whatever you want) and i will see if we can use it! if we do, we will credit you on the video and give you the option to post a link of your choice (be it myspace or whatever ya got)

seriously, the more options we get the better so if you're thinking "he said ambient/instrumental stuff and im in a hardcore band" just let me friggin hear it! :-)

not to mention, this could turn into a general - im in a band and if you want to use my music in your video - do it and credit/link me. could help more people than just me.

i can tell you whats up so far

basically a friend and i are writing a mini series type thing - 6 episodes - around 15 minutes each (we think)... typically we just get the general idea and go but this time we need people and .. a script so weve been writing and are... idk.. probably 55 ish pages in to around what we think will be about 120 pages.. just about halfway. we have about half the cast i think.

the basic broken down version of the story sounds ultra generic, and it probably is... but - what the hell. ya know!? its zombie related, although the zombies arent the main thing. its more of a drama about a small group of people getting around to try to find a location where there is a sort of vaccination, some people might not like it or argue about it but - thats not what im posting for. they go around, meet people - some die, some live. zombies here and there. mostly character driven.

we like the idea but some people might find it ultra boring so who knows.

also - just a heads up, if any of you do watch it and find your music isnt in an episode, its just because of the moods and stuff - not because i didnt like it or anything like that. after the show is done, or at least once we get a more official website for it (if we do) i will probably make a page just for people who "submitted" music ( not trying to sound overly official, but you know what i mean)

FWIW, I've always envisioned this band as blending/going back and forth between Shoegaze, No Wave, "ethereal shit w. screamed vox", and, like, Flipper-esque Noise Rock with a splash of Grindcore/Noiseshit or something... I just haven't done it yet...
