So (One of) my cousin(s) came up from Florideath with his mom (my aunt) recently. He likes to build model rockets with me. She likes to take pictures. This means awesomeness is bound to occur when combined. So my poor cousin's rocket got caught in a tree and subsequently battered to death by a storm :( , mine, however, launched perfectly 8 times. (I feel really bad)

So here's mine, photographed with my aunt's Canon DSLR

So yeah, that's what I did this weekend. :)

i just made model rockets in engineering class. since it was the end of the year, i didnt feel like doing anything productive so i decided to take out the paper that prevented the engine from burning the parachute. the rocket came down with the parachute flaming for a second or two, and then it tumbled through the air into the street next to the school's yard. oh yes, it was a charred mess. :thumb:

My cousin and I once found a bunch of model rocket engines and we shucked all of the fuel out of the cardboard tubing and ground it up into powder. We piled it up on some concrete down by a creek and lit a long stick on fire and set it off. It was highly awesome.

One time I glued fins to a D (that's the biggest one, yeah?) engine and launched that off a dock. Inexplicably it blew up and the boom rumbled down the lake for miles!

Rockets r fun!
