Took apart my sunn cab today to see the speaker inside. went to put it back together and get it all together plug in a cable and the jack comes out of the cab when I try and remove the cable.. how do I fix that. I have the washer tightened..

I don't understand how this could happen if the nut is tight.

I have never opened up a cab before so I have no idea what I did wrong..I put it together the same way I took it apart. Tightened it up and it seemed fine until I put a cord in and then tried to remove it and the jack started to pull out of the cab. which it didn't do before I took apart the cab

The washer/black metal piece just got loosened. If it doesn't stay when you push it back in, add a little gaffer tape or glue and it should be good to go.

Oh it's one of those... my Tele has a jack like that, they either have a special washer/ clasp that you've left off that holds it in place or they're a snug fit and supposed to hold by themselves, either way, stick some kind of padding or glue around it I guess as Jero said, unless you left off the special clasp those things just fall out (AFAIK)

there was no special washer so it must have come unstuck..so I will try the glue or tape method I guess..thanks guys

I hate that design.. as if friction will keep it there forever.
