A mater of perception

My friend Terry, who plays guitar, played my 50th anniversary P and said it fits me, he describes my sound as dark and thick.

My niece who plays bass, just returned from Austria (she teaches English there), dropped by today.
She played the P and said “it’s so unlike you, this is dark, your sound is bright”.

I describe my sound as mellow.

Every one hears the same thing differently.

Interpretation is a beautiful thing. Maybe it was the way they were playing your bass that caused them to hear it and describe it as they did.
