I'm confused? You don't like the food scene in Portland? About the only thing missing is high end fine dining but from food carts to Beast you can eat absurdly well and for next to nothing there. The Bay Area is really missing affordable options like Portland has (aside from our taco trucks).

Man I absolutely LOVE the first two Alice in Chains records. I also liked Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden at the time but not so much now. I was living down there in Boise when it all went off in the early 90s. One day Seattle's just this city up in the corner of the map the next day it's all Pearl Jam all the time. I hated that shit and thought Seattle was stupid. I came here to get baked. It totally worked out for me.

Dude, 'Im kinda jealous. Where was the rest of the rig?
the wife was talking about doing an ultramarathon in your state a while back and I told her to go for it thinking I could pop by your place and jam a bit.

Ya know its kinda funny, you got brought up at practice tonight too and we decided you need to move up here with all your stuff. :hello:

I should add, Band perks tonight included steak, mexican rice with beans and pulled pork and beers. Just sayin...

redbear is in getting a full recap retube re-up basically. getting it ready for the next 20 years.

also fuck yea. I want out of phoenix so bad but even if I sold my casa i woulnt be able to get but a shack up there.

with that said c'mon power ball. ill play bass vi

guitarz + bass VI + traditional bass would be soooooo heavy

I just did that to the sunn. Pwer tubes are still the origionals but everything else got swapped, sounds awesome again.

Dual bassists would actully probably work for our stuff!
We have so much low end already, why not more!
We could be like the opposite of Iron Maidens twin guitar thing. Bass harmonys with guitar to hold it together, that could be really cool.

FOOD! Is good. I feel ya on the Chinese and Pizza man, I spent forever trying to find good chinese out here. Tacoma has one place the wife and I like that is as good as the east coast stuff thats everywhere. Oly has a great pizza place and seattle has a bar near the Crocodile that has legit NY style slices. I suck at names but I bet tony and D know what I'm talking about.
I think there's less big fancy places up here and more hole in the wall spots that are amazing. Elk sandwiches and salmon steaks, MMMMMM Not to mention the folks that go out and collect wild mushrooms that can show up on your plate at dinner. For vegetarians there are tons of options.
I like to cook and there are a ton of farmers markets and places to get great fresh ingredients. I hit up H&L in Tacoma almost every day and get stuff for just that nights meal. It's amazing I'm not fat but I think that has to do with eating quality foods and nothing processed.

Listening to ACID KING and thinking about the Fuzz pedal. Good stuff

Man it's like you're my brother from another mother. Did you see Tad open for AIC in Boise in the mid 90s? One day we shall meet, party, and I will see AW.

YES! My roommates couldn't be bothered and I was getting antsy. I hadn't heard Tad's stuff but I read in High Times that he had an album called 8 Way Santa. My roommates and I were all bigtime acid heads so to get them motivated I said "This Tad guy has an album called 8 Way Santa so you know he's good!". We left quick then but it was already pretty late so we caught like three songs. It was fucking brilliant! I was really mad at those guys for not letting us get out of the house sooner. AIC was also incredible. At the time I had never seen a human as strung out as Layne was that night. He still absolutely nailed the living shit out of everything though. It was an impressive evening in the Pavilion.

I wish dude, then I could hang out with you cool people. If I get into education next year (which is looking more promising, now that I've done ok with these literature subjects I've been doing) I can do a Grad. dip. in education in a year and then, at the start of 2015, hopefully I can nab a posting outside of Brisbane. I'm keen to do rural as I want to get out and see the country and meet real people. But lately, with the state turning to shit and our premier ignoring the Gonski report, it's looking like I may have to seriously moving interstate. Which is still exciting.
I've got a mate, whose missus is a dietician, and she recently accepted a posting in Palau, and as the US are getting ready to hand to back over to the locals, so they're calling in all sorts of ex-pats to work in health and human services, so my mate is basically there as a house husband and he's all paid for. I'd love to do something like that. Teach kids in some island paradise.

I was a big pearl jam fan when I was a little kid. But I have no shame in saying I still love soundgarden. That new album did suck though.
Also, just ordered my ape blaster! Yow! :doom:

I guess I never rally thought about chinese food up there because there are plenty of good places down here plus there really isn't much of an asian population in portland so it was never really a thought. Pizza is almost always crap on the west coast, we have a few amazing places in the bay area but all but one is really expensive and to me the big difference between east and west coast pizza isn't the fancy pizza but the average mom and pop places out here are just terrible where you can go to just about any random place in the new york area and get damn good pizza.

FUCK YEAH DIRT. ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS FROM ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS.

ALSO, GOT A DUDE WITH A RECAPPED BASSMAN 135 FOR 425. SHOULD I HIT IT? PS I AM BROKE BUT WHATEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

OR

OR

OR

OR

SUNN 4X15 FOR SAME PRICE. TALK ME OUT OF IT.

:!!!:

Someone come play insanely heavy black metal + sludge with me. My new band rules, but I also need something heavier to play wherein I can do more vocals too. Plus blastbeats.

Shit, also, new Galaxicon record next summer. Hopefully. Got a dude who'll put it out on vinyl and that'll be neat. Know what's not neat? Writing via the internet. Lame.
KHEMMIS. Doomed heavy metal. DECEIVER out 11/19/21 on Nuclear Blast.

GLACIAL TOMB. Misanthropic death/black/sludge. S/t debut out now on Gilead Media.

Good deals with: Ancient Astronaught, conky, crohny, D-Day, Corey Y, ryan summit, tons more here and on HCFX under this username
