Trump doesn't know what he's doing/still isn't qualified for the job. Not sure why people didn't see that from his first time in office. I guess they felt he's the better choice? :?: :whoa: Sad voters have to make choices like that.

Maybe blundering through life is relatable..,

Also.. as has been said a bunch and we have gone over in this thread many times… the demz obsession with neoliberalism doesn’t work very well with being for the underdogs… also pushing extreme equity views and being viewed as elites also doesn’t work if you are trying to reach the majority…. Also being afraid of bringing in new voices and views does not help.. example Dianne Feinstein, who was steamrolled over a progressive while being in the thrall of dementia… I could go on and on… and it doesn’t matter.. no one listens.. I just get to say I told you so depressingly over and over….

i've been cursing the Democrats ever since the Clintons and their claque turned them into Republican-lite. i've resigned myself to the likelihood that there will probably never be a presidential candidate i could actually vote for, as opposed to voting against the others.

Washing ones hands of it isn't a viable option--we're stuck on this planet. If people had been serious about changing it from the grass roots, maybe the shift would have been more substantial by now. Compare the Birchers' generational project that has been given a second chance to finish us off. They've been taking every school board election and up seriously for decades and making sure to capture one of the only two viable parties in the US in whole.

Voting is about harm reduction. IMO.

"a fundamentally superficial understanding of what they're doing"

I feel that about sums up our president-elect's qualifications for governing.

Hire a clown, expect a circus where all the clowns die in a fire. Along with the rest of us.

The first picks were fun. I look forward to the mass shrinking of an corrupt bureaucratic government controlled by corporations. Then the usual parade of NeoCons started getting named.

If the DOGE thing actually turns into some sort of check and balance to authoritative growth than it's a win all around, though. I just hope Lina Khan gets to stay.

Unless the hamberders do their work quickly as a mercy to us, have no fear: it's gonna be years of Downfall memes.

if someone hasn't already done a Downfall version of the Gaetz nomination/non-nomination it's a disservice to society.
