I've been toying with the idea of a personal pa so you can blast your theme song when you walk into a bar or whatever. I've been hung up on the whole weight vs $ issue. Would be a cool thing to sell to the bro crowd especially.

Fuck yes theme songs and PAs!

Do it. Your pope commands you!

I kind of wish I had Tony Iommi's phone number, so I could call him with random questions, and get edicts from him.
Then NOT ONLY could I say I was talking to god, but I could lay down some wisdom, like, "when you go to your favourite burger joint and you've dropped too much acid, never look the kid serving you in the eye. There ain't enough therapy in the world to bring you back from that."
Or, "cocaine is a breakfast food."

I'd make a mad faith healer.

I'd deal with it.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love making music with the guys I'm jamming with now? We had a hard time practicing the set tonight because we kept coming up with new shit. Our drummer kept saying "wait, so you guys didn't make that shit up before? thats just off the cuff?"
Planning on an early start tomorrow and then BBQ break and then more volume!

In other news I'm working out the details on the custom cab build with the guy in Olympia. 4x12+2x15 fridge. Should be beyond ridiculously rad and I cant wait to get this all started so I can show off what we're cooking up.

Fuck yes to all of this. And congrats on that church of awesome, im really glad thats working out.

conky wrote:Serial Hawk fucking rules. Been jamming their cd in my truck for months now. I need to stop being lazy and order the vinyl version.

I went to guitar center to return one of those shitty little Marshall micro amps and found a used Orange Crush combo for $50. Sounds decent, the cleans are pretty sweet. Now I have something for playing around with at home while both of my amps are at the practice space. Right about the time I was leaving I saw a fucking Tele Deluxe in the used section too. Couldn't contain myself and walked out with it. Got it home and went to change the strings and my .56 won't fit in the slot on the tuning post. What size bit should I use to drill it out with? As a result of that gear purchase I must let go of my SG. Don't want to, but I kinda spent some of the money I had put back to fix my Ranger

For now i suggest just unwrapping the string a little and doing that for now before you mod it, you might not like the tele with fat strings. Better off givin it a go before you permanently change hardware. Not sure what bit size would be best but i think a 1.5 mm bit should JUUUSt clear it. PS I use a 56 low too  i use it for C down to A# then i bump up to .72 for A and .80 for G#

Stripper pole, hells yeah. they have plans to extend the stage all the way across the back wall.

It's a work in progress, and we played outside for free for a bbq/space christening thing, I had a blast and then we went to a CFA show, which is always badass and hilarious. Fuck pain and suicide, shit rules.

I am drunked and need to be ordained as a riff priest. That is all :thumb:

That's awesome! Glad it's working out. And that it's a church. Everything about that is very, very rad.

TJ is, as always, on the money. I got 56s on my iceman, it's setup for c but is currently in Bb (A#) without much hassle, I just raised the action a smidge. It is winter here though and they are old strings, so I find when I go to pick it up it's a little out of whack, when usually it stays in tune for days. I guess that's to be expected though.

Right, back to the grind.

I do printmaking at Uni, I'd gladly hand make a few if we could work out a way to donate the proceeds. I've kind of been interested in rekindling the ILF shirt idea as well. Cutting the block doesn't usually take too long, it's the actual application to the shirt that takes forever when done by hand. This reminds me, I've been meaning to start printing my own band shirts (just for me, obviously). So much to do, so little cash.

I haven't been able to handle using 56s since I stopped downtuning my LTD 25.5". How do you guys DO it?

56 to 13 flats in C Standard

Rather, since I started downtuning my Agile 24.75" instead. I need at LEAST 60 - 13 to hit C standard, everything else is too loose. Must be the scale length. :idk:

You jut gotta keep playing em. They're still little flubby below C, so that helps, but not so much hat you lose definition. I kinda want to go up to 60s and move down to A orG#.....Don't know what my scale is, corn remember.
It helps if you start playing metal drills at those low tunings, build up some strength.
Get your Pike on.
