Edit: I'm sure I could search this but does anyone know what kind of voltage the CT5 expression input expects? Would be wicked to hook the Kommander up to that
CT5 is supposed to ported to Euro this year, I think.
Hmmm, CT5 in euro would be pretty cool. I hope that does happen and I'm pretty interested to see how it turns out.
That's kind of interesting, although I feel like one of the big selling points behind the Ct5 was that it was taking 'modular' ideas, if you will, and putting them into a pedal format.

I feel like the CT5 is fairly similar to the Phonogene. I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't used the Phonogene, but it's what I imagine. If a euro CT5 could do most of what the Phonogene does with better quality or in a smaller hp, I think there will definitely be a pretty big market for it. I'd be on the fence about getting a euro version since I have the pedal though, I'd want to see some demos first.

If the unquatized mode 1 works in 1v/oct then the euro ct5 will give all sorts of boners.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I want a euro CT5

That sucks banana gear is awesome although it's tough to interface with anything else. Although 12u of euro makes my head spin, I decided to take it slow with a small 5u system and it's been great because it's so easy to connect with anything else and it's still small enough to take to friends house and make the jammy jams.

12U is surprisingly not as unwieldy as I was expecting it to be. I'm at 12U and 84hp. I've definitely considered going for a Doepfer Monster case which is 12U at 168hp, but I am actually super happy with my current set up. The only expansion I'm planning is a little Musique Concrete skiff because I have an extra Happy Ending Kit laying around and would love to build something around a Phonogene or Tyme Sefari or possibly the CT5 if that ends up happening.
Also, Delta, does that mean you sold the Fenix or you're just expanding the euro? You've changed formats and directions so many times in the last year alone!

12u is probably perfect for a self contained system, I just had like a 6u for a little bit and it was too much for me. I don't really like the feel of euro but man everything is so dense in features which is a great thing for a system that can do a whole set by itself. I find myself mixing my MU, Nord Modular g2, ableton, and TR606 too much to want to have a big ol modular with a ton of choices.
I commend the people that can remember a good patch from a 12u or setup a patch in the time it takes for me to setup my guitar gear for a show.

I sold the Fenix. I never got super deep with it. But yeah, From Serge, to Serge and Buchla, Buchla, to Fenix and Euro, now just Euro. It's all good, I have taken a lot of money out of modular along the way, so I don't feel like a total D-Bag. I have had a lot of fun along the way. At least now, when I inevitable buy more banana gear, I don't need to worry about taking it out of the house since I will have a badass portable rig.
My goal is 30-45 minute sets that don't require repatching. I have 2 sample players (Grandpa and ADDAC 111), an Odio to get iPad sounds into the modular for processing, external inputs for my drum machine to be processed (plus it sends out 6 triggers) and other instruments like my Shobo Shnth, bass or whatever can join in processing sounds fun. The case should close patched, I might have to un patch a tall stack of stackables here or there but that shouldn't be a big deal. I will put up a modulargrid screenshot over here later.

Well you guys were right, I don't fucking get the Rene at all. Might go with the double Moskwa route.

I'm a complete moron and I can't figure out the menu diving to save my life.
Also, every time I go menu diving it stops sequencing and I can't figure out how to start it again besides turning it off for 30 minutes.

Definitely moving into something where I can see what you're going for now. Personally, I think a Malekko Mute 4 would go really well in there so you can choose which things to mute at your pleasure. And I think you have like 14HP of space left over which leaves a lot of options open for further tweaking.

At this point you need some fun utilities. A mixer (the Manhattan Analog CP3 for example is great because it doubles as an overdrive), and maybe the new Mutable Instruments Kinks (4HP, Sample & Hold, Rectifier, Min/Max)...

Links and Kinks combined though.

That's a lot of craziness for 8hp.
Edit: Currently playset on modular grid.
