I'm not entirely sure how I feel about flatwounds yet...I need to try another set. I don't like the clank clank clank but I couldn't stand flats with J pickups...maybe on my P. I dunno. Right now I'm using Fender SS and they're a little too bright for me. I think I like nickel best.

Last time I tried Chromes, but I couldn't remember what their tension was like, are they on the tighter side? I'm not into really loose strings.

They come in different gauges, you want tighter get bigger strings, that is how it works.

I really want to try stainless stell too, I hear they last longer. But my fear is I hear the rip your fingers up, and I dig in really hard. I don't want to bleed.

I have had SS rounds twice... I think... I never noticed that... they felt like rounds I have SSs on my subcontra tuned bass and they don't feel any rougher then other rounds I have tried.

I recently discovered the glory of Reddit. I wandered on over to /r/bass, and it wasjust like TB. Actually, worse. Everyone was ranting and raving on how if you want distortion, you NEED a BBM. I gtfo'd.

Moral of the story? The majority of people with internet access are dolts that don't know how to research before posting and behave like sheeple (Note, this is not an attack on TB, but on the majority of all internet users).

I asked the OP what his point was and if it made a difference if rockstars played boutique or not. If that somehow made a pedal sound better. Then when he did not answer me but got defensive, I asked if he actually had something specific in mind when he made the thread.

So I didn't actually do anything but ask some questions. I mean, yea I was asking it because I thought his thread was stupid, but it is stupid. I mean, who the hell cares if a "rockstar" is playing a certain type of pedal? What the fuck is a "rockstar" anyway? My mom says I'm a rock star. Does that qualify me? lol

Actually I'm not certain my mom has ever heard me play. My wife digs my playing though.
