The vibe tone with the voice cranked is blissful. It has what I felt the grand orbiter was missing.

Goddamn...I was gonna get a vibe after I got an ape blaster and a left hand path....that changes my mind on which one now.
So ive posted this before, I'm pretty sold on it, but if the price is right on the earthquakere....deal breaker.

Fibes are pretty cool kits too. PM me some pics and a price. I'm still debating on selling my SG but I'm definitely gonna get another drum set either way.
I have played these drums and they sound NICE. I had never played any acrylic style drum before these, except for a short time in a store. The big difference you would find between older(70's style) and more modern style seems to be the bearing edge. Way older stuff doesn't have much to the edge making it harder to get nice tunings out of. Overall, they are LOUD and have nice sustain. I would still be playing that kit had I not purchased a sweet deal of a old Tama Artstar Custom off of local CL a few months back. I just had a hard time justifying not playing them after I bought them and got all new heads.
And you are right. Fibes has a reputation for making some cool drums man.

I had a dream last night that I went to a show... looked on stage, It was Mastodon but Brent was playing an EGC V style lucite bass. Then we hung out. It was fucked. I am confused.

I saw that and I was like, "damn, they release this right after I buy the disappointing MojoHand FX Villanova vibe."

Why is this a bad dream?
I'm thinking I should take advantage of the 30% sale on for the Ultramafic cables at Lava, but it's going to cost €200+ just to put new cables in my set-up. WTF?!

Just an FYI, you can use Lava solderless plugs with just about any thin wall cable. I tried it on a whim with some mogami I had laying around and it worked perfectly.

I don't trust solderless. I know loads of people have had no issues with them, especially those who take the time to prepare them properly and look after them, but there are also a great number of people who've had them fail on them at the worst possible moments, something that happens once in a blue moon for soldered cables.
