Right, it's a size thing. The same way no one's going to suggest that the weather in Devon has any bearing on how it'll be in Aberdeen, what's going on in, say Laredo has no correlation to somewhere like Dallas.

I recognize the size differences and everything. I just assumed that 45 degrees Celsius vs 33 was a rather large disparity, and I wouldn't have imagined such a vast disproportion would be equated to simple size differences. I just never thought America would ever reach that kind of temperatures, period.

The heat isn't what sucks about the Southeast, its the humidity. When I went on tour we walked around Austin all day in 99 degree weather and didn't break a sweat. It felt like 70 in Georgia. once you hit 75 here you start feeling like you are suffocating and you get the biggest case of swamp ass ever.

That's another thing I hadn't considered: Humidity. It could be 45 degrees but if it's still fresh and breezy out then it will be manageable. Which is obviously why we have air conditioning indoors, but outdoors you have to rely on the water vapour in the air and the wind.

Humidity is such a pain. We never get warm dry days in Devon. If it's hot, it's always balmy and muggy. The rest of time it's fucking freezing and raining because both of my homes are right on the seafront.

Sweaty balls is worse than freezing to death.

And to contribute to the discussion of weather in the U.S. It is all over the charts man. You have desert where it is nothing amazing when temperatures reach over 100 degrees. There is also the northern end where it can reach -20 degrees in Michigan or Wisconsin. I live in New York where in the summer it can reach the 90s and sometime 100 (rarely) and in the winter I can be stuck in snow with temperatures in the teens.

And Queensland is 10x the size of Texas . We have a town called Texas near our border actually, they're predicting snow there this year, which is crazy because in summer we sit on that low to mid 30s, high humidity, thunderstorm kinda pattern here in the south east during summer, and they're only a few hours drive away, maybe 2-3. So yeah man, weather and micro weather is crazy. Not unusual for us to crack 40 every now and then in summer, so you dudes hitting 45 this week, fuck man that is brutal, I feel your pain. I grew up with humidity, so I'm kinda used to it. Dry heat weirds me out.

In Austin, TX one time during August. Temperature in the rental card read 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Definitely a little on the high side, but probably still like 110.
