Gotta agree with this. In every interview I've seen of him, he doesn't seem to put too much emphasis on the actual gear but how he uses it. I think he put a lot of people to shame using an M9 rather than lugging around a bunch of vintage effects. If you can do the same with less, why not?
That's what I mean - I think it's odd after all this that he's now rocking an almost 100% "boutique" board

i think it's kind of weird that there's no wah on his current board. i saw orlg last year and it was just ridiculous, i heard they're coming out to australia again this year but so far there's not been any real confirmation of that or at least sydney shows

I love Omar's guitar work, but I have to say he's head and shoulders above his guitar playing self on bass. But I feel the "weirdness" got really contrived after they stopped taking crazy amounts of drugs.
It was so forced after that.
