It's cool in the acc cab, but this thing will take the place of that cab AND a 4x12. really hoping it sounds as good as I think it will.

A 4x18 is the only logical thing to do with that. With the 1000 watt tube amp on top.

A 4x18 would be nice, you know if you want to go small and portable

lol a few days ago, I was thinkin about like how big it too big for a cab? I don't gig, I don't open mic, I don't have a band, I don't even jam with friends cause I work 70+ hours a week EVERYWEEK.

so why not make something stupid. . . like 8x12 + 2 21s in one HUGE massive cab? or just start building 8x12s instead of the pussy 412s I have. . .

but for reals I did brain up 8x12+2x21s BUT 16 ohm 18s would be easier to source. . .

Lol, ive actually considered building massive immovable cabs onto the walls of the band room, you know a series of 4x12 or whatever wired to 32 ohms so i can connect 8 to each amp

I'm starting to think that maybe I got something in my head mixed up. Or some of the info on the speakers I was using was wrong. As when I thought about it when I got the Matamp cab (400w 101db) I did a shoot out between it and the emperor cab (240w 99db) I definitely had to crank up when using the emperor to reach the same perceived volume, and the Matamp is definitely scooped sounding in comparison. So I dunno maybe my train of thought was backwards the other day....

hey whiskey, how much do you know about those cerwin vegas? ive got a 189cf in an old w-bin. all I know is it's 8 ohms. any idea on wattage or wtf cf stands for?
