Wednesday, I was looking through the "Just Arrived Preowned" section of one of the few shops we have in this town, laughing at the cheesy 80s hair metal record sleeves with a client, when I flipped through the O section to unveil the recent Om live 12" in new condition. Snapped that motherfucker up for $25 (that's AU, and that is very cheap for retail down here).
Also arrived in the mail was Master of Reality and Eagle Twin's Feather TIpped...
So, that was rad.

Yeah I had a similar experience with that one. Sold out everywhere: boom! randomly happened to be in my local record store.

Still think the 'best' live Om LP is Live Conference, though.

It's funny that I have so many prog friends. They can't stand anything I listen to except Neu. Trying to argue that Jello Biafra writes better lyrics than Yes is kinda fun.

See, that always baffles me. Prog was about pushing boundaries and trying new shit, so I don't get why a prog fan wouldn't like noise rock or whatever. Then again, these days prog seems to have become synonymous with bands like Dream Theater and Muse, where NPS and pompous, slick arrangements has taken over for any experimentation and rawness. Yeah. Whatever. Any people listening exclusively to one genre of music tend to be dicks about it.

This album changed my life. If you don't like it you are a slob and you have no taste. Pitchfork gave it a 2.6 out of 10 so you know its phenomenal.
