Chinese knobs are probably gonna machine-made, she likely casts these by hand. Poor quality is poor quality though. No gettin' around that.

Although, she says: "These knobs are made with high quality polyurethane resin."

Yeah, they certainly do look good. I work that Tracking knob on the Rainbow Machine quite a lot though.

To be all Cap'n Obvious, couldn't you just put something in there to fasten the knob better, like glue on top (think EHX do this) or tape/sleeve around the shaft?

I hope these aren't too bad, think I will take a chance and order some of the MXR-styled ones, because they look really good (in the pictures at least, but then they probably chose the cream of the crop to show).

They definitely don't look too bad from the photos.

If more people order some of these, we'll have opinions other than just jwar's. More opinions are always good.

I'd be more concerned about how well they fit. Not as concerned about slight cosmetic imperfections as long as they're well (enough) made.

To be fair, I’m being extremely critical but it’s only because I feel like knobs are one place I’ve wasted a lot of money. These are probably fine for most people, but I think they ought to be half the price for what they are. I’m more of a fan of Moog style knobs because of the construction and durability.

I could buy a bunch of these cast from China and use transparent paint to achieve a similar look.

Your mileage may vary and I’m sure know ILF, it will.


Also, I’m not going to use glue on knobs.

Well the Etsy knobs from BSCustom came ..

I have high quality pedals with high quality knobs, and I have home built piles of shit with piles of shit knobs. I'm not an expert but these knobs are totally fine for around 1.25$ USD. They look cool and are unique. They fit the pots I tried them on and the shaft holes are perpendicular to the skirt so it doesn't wobble when you turn it. I'd say they were worth my 15$.. I got an extra one too .. so I have 9. Huzzah. See pics
