Music isn't bad, not really my thing, but not bad. Interesting to see him before the bad long hair comb over.

I ran across his GF's IG and his hair has been like that for years, so. :idk:
I dunno, I get it. It's not my kind of hairstyle but, whatever.

My friend met Oliver once. She was giving a presentation or something.

He came up to her after and said, "I really respect what you do" and smiled for a long time.

So my Pinned is here, and it's everything I wanted. Nails that DBA sound where everything can be shredded and screaming, but with so much control. Everything from muffled thick shit to noise-insanity, yet still really usable and awesome. This is definitely going on the board.

Got my Pinned yesterday too. I've only had a few minutes with it so far, but lots of great sounds to be found.

I came here to talk about the Super Fuzz War and didn't see this Pinned nonsense... DBA is my style and I love APTBS, agreed -- best band live, don't really care to see people talk about his hair and all that, who cares etc.

Super Fuzz War owners, can anyone tell me their impressions on it a few months in? How are the dipswitches? Can you change the order of boost and fuzz?

After a few months with the sfw i’m still testing it... there’s a huge difference in sound depending on what amp you’re using... so far it sounds better with...solid state! (Great with Roland jcs... not so good on Fender and Mesa)
You can’t change the boost/fuzz order, but I guess boost is first, cuz it affects gain and tone a lot. Actually the best thing about the sfw is the feeling you get when adding the boost to the fuzz. Spectacular.
The dipswitches do alter the sound a lot, but they ‘re there to help you dial in the sound you’re after and forget about it (it’s not hey I have 10 different sounds I can use), which is good since it’s a pain taking off the back plate every time...
So I still have to find the right combination amp/fuzz to know whether it’s a keeper or not... the boost + fuzz is fantastic but the boost on its own has that fizzy sound that’s not appealing to me. I think it sounds at its best when playing really loud.
I’d say it’s a great pedal for riffing like mad, and possibly not the best choice for other fuzzy actions, like playing with your volume knob or soloing/single note melodies.
Hope this helps...
