But Energizer gives a nice boost to the tone, almost like playing at 18V instead of 9V (yes, they're magical batteries).
And then there's those grocery store brands you buy in bulk. Some say they use rare NOS Russian capacitors that enable a real dynamic amplike response, but all I hear is "I'm not boutique!" screaming through in my tone.
I think people don't realize how ironic members of that forum are, much more than around here

I almost want to embrace it. Next time someone is looking for a dirt suggestion, just ask what they have and tell them to change their batteries.
Cause you know, I hoarded old RadioShack brand during the close out sales and those are the creme du la creme.
