Despite what hateful thing D.O.S might say, super early PT is superb. Later era is super hit and miss for me. Solo Steven Wilson stuff is good, Grace for Drowning being top tier.

:p Don't hate me, Dossy

Agreed on early Porcupine Tree. Haven't listened to anything they've done in the last ten years or so, though.

Used to be into Damnation and Deliverance by Opeth about the time they came out, been a long time since I checked them out though. Not really into metal, which is why I never got into Gojira as well. Will check out Rosetta!

Are we talking about 70s drugprog art-school-dropout synthweekends or 90s up their own ass drinking hot tea with lemon 150k in debt to berklee used to be goth but now too fat and wears new balance sneakers? or are we talking used to be a euro deathmetal band until that got played out then kinda sorta goth but just for chicks then their mom died now they thing theyre pink floyd or whatever winning grammies in slovakia and shit?

I'm mostly talking about the former, but everything is allowed in the thread of capes. :zen:

Spacey, I'm still waiting for someone else to tell me about Camel. Wouldn't want to give you credit for that.

You know its weird that you mention Camel. Ive been rewatching all the old Top Gear episodes lately and Ive noticed that Jeremy Clarkson, already a saint in my books, is also low key a massive prog fan. He constantly name drops Camel especially. Also theres an entire season (6 I think) where Stigs in-car soundtrack is all first wave brit prog. He does a lap to the synth solo from slow yourself down one episode.
