Wren & cuff box of war sounds gret really close to my first run tall font.
Emanating Fist Dope Priest is doomy as fuck.

Yes…Good to know on the box of war.
Dope Priest is on my watch list…don't come up used that often.
Will definitely get an Old One.

I would get an EFE 6618 instead, it's less expensive and even better than the Dope Priest.
They're quite similar but the 6618 just has a little something extra, a bit more fuzzy, a bit more lows, a bit more punch.

Personally I prefer the Pharaoh over the LSTR big time. The LSTR sounds more like a generic EHX offering and has more of the scooped Russian sound while the Pharaoh has more punch and balls, is rawer and has more of the artefacts that I associate with fuzz.
It has that BAT sound and is my favourite in the BAT line where the LSTR just falls a bit out of the camp in my opinion.

Yeah the Dope Priest is worth the hunting, not too many flip them. The Old One is HEAVY keeping with the Kracken, another winner.

No love for the Blakemore Deus Ex? Whenever I play it, I feel pissed off inside. In a good way.

We can play this "what no love for_________" game forever, but lets ditch the standard 3 knob clones, they're all just voiced a little differently.
i think the original poster was looking for the muffs that expand the sound.

I can say with some confidence think Trey is looking for muffs that doom.

Doom worthy muff that's not your average 3-knob bmp clone:
Musket. You could also flip your flavour of the month every singe time a new hype comes along, but imo...if you can't do it with a musket and a good guitar/rig, you're probably doing it wrong
I'll admit I haven't tried a ton of muffs yet, but I've tried enough to know that the differences between a certain type/era muff mostly seem to come down to nuances, and maybe controls/tweakability. Like I said before, the only way of really figuring out what those nuances are actually about, would be to try all your options with your guitar, your ears, your amp/speakers...It's kinda pointless imo to take my word or anyone else's when it comes to specific recommendations, there's just way too many variables involved imo.
So I'm not saying the Musekt is THE uber-muff, but it's tweakable enough to give you a wide range of Muff type tones. Not too picky when it comes to amps, thanks to the eq, and more gain than any other muff I've come across. Useable gain that is, cause I'm not counting the hot rodded 98 gain stages muff clones that just choke when you max the gain.
But still, I'm thinking of flipping mine. I just like superfuzzes and tonebenders more, I can't afford to keep too many pedals around that I don't really love to death. That's not sneaky spam or anything btw, I'm in Europe, and I haven't completely made up my mind yet either...
I'm as much of a gear hound as anyone here, dispite my little whise-ass lectures...I'll probably hunt down a Hoof or Supercollider a week after I flipped the Musket

Deus Ex has 5 knobs. You could say it expands the sound. Ah well.

that comment wasn't aimed at you, apologies if it felt that way...
but the caprid and the box of war, while probably awesome pedals, are just clones...
i like wren and cuff ALOT. i have an early pickle pie from them, that only just recently left my regular rotation.
but they don't re-invent the wheel.
