Thanks dude. Yeah, I do enjoy when a pedal makes me play differently. Great way to get new ideas.
(This might get flipped though, as I probably won't be keeping both this and the Thornoscillator. Maybe both will be flipped even. We'll see. So hit me up if you're interested.)
EDIT: Taking this with me to the new page.

(Can you guys see the video? It says that it's still uploading even though it's been a couple of hours, but the link seems to be working.)
Harsh, nasty, noisy, extreme etc. Pretty intuitive fuzz, despite the unruly nature of the oscillations. Very interactive with your guitar settings, pick attack and stuff. With some tweaking you can get some "standard", pretty fat fuzz out of it. You can easily get those sweet Endon toanz. At some settings it can be similar to your standard run of the mill oscillating fuzziebox, but generally it's wilder and less melodic. Some pretty unique sounds in this thing.

I would love to try it but probably not buy it. How would you feel about a temp trade?

Yeah, I might be up for that. I'll PM ya.

teh dibs be yours.
Haha, is the demo insanely loud? Sitting with my headphones on and clicked it, volume startled me.

MASF Thornoscillator

If you're the type that thinks oscillating fuzzes are too noisy and generally "unmusical", this is not for you. Among the fuzz I've tried, this is easily the craziest, most unpredictable of the bunch. It might also be the loudest. Slight movement of the knobies can take you from drones to white noise. It's pretty easy to dial out the oscillations, and reduce it to a pretty sweet, sixties-sounding fuzz with a slightly blown-out character. Or you could drop your guitar, get down on the floor and relish in the noisy possibilities provided by the relatively simple layout. I would love handing these out to kids starting out with the guitar, just to see their reactions to it. It might be insane, but its still a great tool for creating teh musics.

Another awesome one Eivind. Here's to never running out of oscillating fuzzes!

I need this pedal!
Great demo as always!
Question: does it give a damn what you do to your guitar's tone/volume knob?

Dude, I'm so stoked that you enjoy them.

You were an inspiration for the whole using humorous text instead of talking thingy.

Thanks man.

Close to running out of semi-readily available production models, but I'll probably look into more of the DIY-designs when I'm finished.

It might become yours, babe. I love it, but not sure I'll find a space for it within my music. We'll see though, it's a ton of fun to play with.
It only reacts ever so slightly to what you do with your guitars knobbies, to get the most out of it you'll need to hit the floor. Still, the oscillations do warble/stutter/glitch out without you doing anything, so it's pretty far from static even without directly controlling it.

Thanks duder.

Yours are coming up next, just need to get to know them a bit better.

Yeah, they make a lot of different sounds, that's for sure. Good luck condensing them into a few minutes of play - I have massive self editing problems as it is, but those two pedals are undemoable for me haha.
I have enormous gas for that Thornoscillator right now.

Yeah. I usually film like 30-60 minutes and then edit the shit out of it bringing out the parts I find the most interesting. Can imagine 4545 and Gnomeratron demos turning out slightly longer, like the 88 demo did.
Oh, hey, let me know if you wanna borrow the Thornoscillator.

smallsound/bigsound Year 4545

From the twisted mind of our very own Brian comes a fuzz pedal back from the future. The Year 4545 has a harsh, synthy sound that covers alot of ground. The dual oscillators can fight or be harmonic, and the gate can drastically alter your sound. Knobs and switches are the best thing ever, even when you're not entirelly sure exactly what it is that you're doing. I do find it hard to push notes through the oscillations at some settings, but that could be due to my low output pups or my not knowing what I'm doing. Anyway, awesome, twisted pedal, that can mimic the sounds of your everyday electronic devices, such as fax machines, xeroxes and payphones (

). Do check it out.
