Samsara- hands down the most gorgeous film ever released, not even debatable.
Onibaba
Delicatessen
Mic Macs
I'm friends with mostly people who study film so I've been subjected to a lot of boring art-house stuff (I see the merit but it's not my thing). I can see all of these are incredible works of art and still engrossing and entertaining.
thanks for this, since you recommended Delicatessen which is possibly my favourite film ever I downloaded the rest of the list to watch. So far, so good!
also i just remembered another favourite, Zelig (the woody allen mockumentary).

Mic Macs is awesome and i love those guys, i never really adored Delicatessen. some of the humor rubbed me as cheesy and out of place. there's some great parts and it's good though.
off to see the new Apes weds. hopening it's saucy like butts as well.
yeaaaaahhhh fuck the US Old Boy. i'll buy it if the full unedited cut that Spike Les says they wouldn't let him use and is BEAUTIFUL is on the bluray. but i just watched the real version with a friend that hadna seen it last night. it's perfect in every way.
the villain in Lee's is ASS, Brolin is ASS, Sam Jackson is hellza fun to watch but that's..... it really.
it's a mediocre move that has to be compared to one of the best revenge flicks ever.
also, I Saw The Devil is a cool Old Boy style thinger dinger.
Lady Vengeance is wonnnnnderful as well.

I want to see Lucy SO FUCKING BAD. Luc Besson is mah shiiit.
Saw a trailer for Into the Storm yesterday. Whoa. Twister on PCP.
Watched a mockumentary I hadn't watched in a while again. Fear of Black Hat. Fucking hilarious look at 90's "gangsta" rap.

I WANNA SEE IT YOOOOOO
Just watched this trailer. One of the top comments on youtube had the words "hopping vampire genre." I like that there's a genre about non-Dracula-esque vampires. I might have to go check this out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiangshi

Planet Of The Apeholes was good. surprisingly nuanced. dug iiiiit.
doods. dooodettes. Under The Skin is so fucking good. yesh, full frontal ScarJo is MEOW. that's.... that's an attractive lady.
but it's an awesome movie. i knew nothing about it watching except INCIPIENT NUDITY, and that's perfect. try to learn nothing at all then VIEW.
.... it's like what David Lynch wants to do. like. you know. if he was GOOD.
