Diaper conversation aside (we used cloth for the record!), get yourself a really good quality baby sling PRONTO. I loved a wrap style and Aen preferred the Mei Tai style. Don't get a stupid baby bjorn or other cheap store knock off.
We did basically everything with the kids tied to our backs for the first year. LIFE SAVER.

^^^^ this. We had a Bjorn and it killed my back. The wife had a sling and it was great. She could nurse in public and nobody had to know. We got an ergo baby after the Bjorn but it was still not great for me.
