Rule 1 about haunting mids.whoismarykelly wrote:This post is pretty much like how all the HM fuzzes have come about. Seems like you've tried out and modded quite a few.
Two months later people are getting pedals. Its about as special as secret santa or anything an online community might do. HM is more about everyday life stuff than gear and has been for years. The pedalboard thread there only gets a new post about 5 times a year

In ILF Klone with totally fucked up amounts of fuzz and no transparency what so ever. The Anti-Klon. These are all awesome ideas.goroth wrote:I love this idea!
Two insanely simple fuzzes with very different character, in parallel. It's been done before, but not enough! And oscillation on both fuzzes. To not make it a million knobs, although a million knobs is kind of ILF in a nutshell, you could fix the gain, skip tone controls, or maybe have a global LPF, a knob each for oscillation, a mix knob. Volume knob. Maybe a global input gain knob. I dunno.
Or a Klone with voltage sag and oscillation and maybe an insanely loud booster in front of the circuit to drive it crazy. Something like this has been discussed on the SSBS forum for about a million years but Brian has a lot more on his plate than klones.
Or make a 3 knob fuzz, lay it out as a klone, print a horse/centaur/satanic man goat on it, but have a circuit that has absolutely nothing to do with a klon, something with a useable range from high gain fuzz to holy-fuck-this-is-unuseable-in-any-context.
Also don't listen to too many suggestions because we do love our fuzz here...

I would totally buy the Goatar or whatever it would need to be called. I'd store it in the closet and wait for it to appreciate in value, then unload it on TGP in 10 years when all the blues lawyers are clamoring for the Gold Goaty.
ILF Goatse? Ugh, why did just think about it...

Mmmmmmmm I would definitely snag an antiklon. Maybe make the aesthetic as close to a classic klon then do the universes heaviest relic of all time on it. Then write in sharpie.

I could tie the enclosure to the back of my father in laws ute and drive up a few rough unsealed country roads. That would give a heavy relic finish.PeteeBee wrote:Mmmmmmmm I would definitely snag an antiklon. Dunwich has something similar to this, the Synth Fuzz. It's a cthulhu fuzz and big muff run in parallel along with a footswitchable oscillating synth. I'm awaiting mine to be finished very soon. It's seven knobs outlined below:goroth wrote:Two insanely simple fuzzes with very different character, in parallel. It's been done before, but not enough! And oscillation on both fuzzes. And mine is the one on top (aka the None More Black edition) of the pic below:
