he can potentially upgrade our chips with a new patch after this comes out too, which I'm super stoked about :)*
So how does that work? Can I potentially ship my V2 back and get the upgrades?
Yeah, will this work? I have one of the first batch and having fix'd ratios for the shifting would make this much easier to use. Especially if you can retain the weirdness of the old version.
Will the ratios also work for reverse?

Hi,
Yes sorry for any disappointment but this statement is misleading. In an email I mentioned that i might revamp slightly the program in the V1 (xyz rev a,b,d pcbs).

This may include:
-making available chipsets for anyone who has a 2 second version of the original version such that they can upgrade to 8 seconds.
-possibly quantizing the rate knob if that is desirable
-some software gate to squelch grainy/quite repeats

but very likely nothing else. On the above mentioned pcbs everything you need to change is socketed so it is easy for the end user to just swap the IC's instead of shipping back the pedal.

However, to be explicit: the 'new' version can't be achieved by swapping a chip on the old pcb.
Will the ratios also work for reverse?
yes.

Ooh, fingerlicking good, what are the toggle switches and the extra soft footswitch for?
About the reverse, I can't really get a regular (non pitch shifting) reverse out of my V2 because the sound kind of dies in the middle of the speed / direction knob, are you saying that on the new version there's also a quantized increment that does (hearable) reverse delay without pitch shifting?

I already wished I had an infinite number of GB24s on my board. This makes a second a certainty. Excited by the additional switches and I don't even know what they do.

You should probably set up a subscription service in which I automatically get any future pedal you make.

Ah, too bad I thought it might be possible to simply send in the old version for you to mod it to a new one for little money. Well, I guess this will one day be bought.

I want all of these new features but the lofi sound of the v1. Can this be arranged?

I had both v1 and v2 and traded the v2 to LaoWiz because I prefer the v1's sound that much.
The extra time is cool, but that lofi sound is where my loyalties lie.

It will not be upgraded, modded or traded. As-is the thing sounds outta this world. If it aint broke...

I still want to try the 8 second version out of comparisons sake. V1 is still going strong on my end :)*
