Music and my apprenticeship are taking up all of my time at the moment, so I don't have time to work enough to support myself. But I'm only eighteen, and by the end of the year I should be finished with the stuff I've been doing and I'll be able to move off this island.

see, i HAD to get away from my family. shit was really dysfunctional, and i just could not bear to deal with it any longer. the idea of me ever living with my folks again once i'd escaped was out of the question. i'd rather have slept in the bushes.

I think alot of what's going on with "today's economy" is that the model we're going for doesn't exist anymore... Guy's in their 20's are supposed to be finishing collage, buying a car, marrying a wife, having babies and buying a house... That's been dead for decades but our ancient govt is still pushing the ideas they grew up with... A 30 year mortgage was to be paid of in your 50's before you retire and you could ride out your years in your own home with a govt stipend... That shit aint even feasible nowadays unless you have old money... Kids today (me included) wanna buy pedals and gameboys and smart phones and Tiger Blood t-shirts and good weed and bicycles and other stuff that is just not in the old guards idea of what is the "dream"... I've been talking about this with friends lately and I think they're starting to see... Kids today are making their own products, sewing their own clothes, growing their own food, and generally monkey wrenching the cogs of this floundering society... Most people today have tuned out real life and are living in their own private movie starring themselves... I could go on but I'll save some for later... Ok go...

i live with my dad currently but only because my lease was up, i pay no rent, and and its only for a short time. ive been in and out of both my parents houses since i was 18. ill be living in an RV on the road with my gf by next week or so. that will be an adventure.

heres a fun short story about my first time moving out.

I moved out of my dads house 2 months after i turned 18. we were butting heads, he was on some shit, i was on some shit. it was shit. I moved in with two people i barely knew into a trailer(#69 lol) in the worst trailer park imaginable(seriously...the park was called shady shores), in a town called gibsonton down here in florida. gibsonton is where all the people that work for the carnival live. freaks and workers alike. google it. ive seen them all, midgets, bearded women, guys with huge boils on their face, REALLY FAT guys. i met most of them while working graveyard shift at walmart. its true what they say, the freaks come out at night. so imagine trailers with old rusty carnival equipment and rides scattered throughout the yard, mean dogs chained to tilt-o-whirl cups and steel hotdog carts. and its a fact that all carnies smoke crack or meth. these people are scattered throughout the town. i lived next to meth addicts, nazis, child molesters, you name some kind of grimy person, i lived next to them. an 11 year old girl that lived two trailers down told me she wrote the book on sucking dick and did it mostly to her dad. this is not a joke. she looked like punky brewster. the people that lived between me and punky had their children taken by child services and the parents disappeared shortly after, so of course my roommates and i did some snooping. it was like a really good horror movie setting. dirty fingerprints all over walls, roaches, dirty stuffed animals, broken glass, the works. we rummage through some shit, collected a few shitty VHS tapes and took some pictures. we came across a torn ratty old mattress and i shit you not, a thousand roachs of all sizes spill out of every hole when we attempted to lift it, covering our hands and shoes. we ran like hell. to this day, i cant look a roach without thinking about the feeling of little roach legs crawling on my skin.

btw lots of cocaine use during this time. cocaine and cigarettes, breakfast of champions. easy to afford when you only pay $50 a week in rent. all this lasted 4 months before our power got shut off... we never even signed up for it, it was on when we moved in! i remember the three of us sitting in the living room playing halo on xbox, when we saw a man pull up in a white truck, walk past our trailer, *click* *pewww*, and get back in the truck and drive off. we owed several hundred dollars before we could turn the power back on, so we said fuck it, COCAINE. well, that led to me to live in my tiny honda civic crammed to the brim with my shit. that lasted about 2 months. then blah blah blah, maui hawaii, back on my feet...so on and so forth. i think i could write a 500+ page book on the things ive witnessed in those few months living in gibsonton. this is just a short summary, leaving out alot very humorous events.

what was the point of sharing all that? no reason really. take what you will from it. some of the most fun i've ever had. some of my fondest memories. i dont regret any of it. you should get out of your parents house, experience the world.

BTW, i dont do cocaine anymore...
