Thanks for that, mate. I'm really bad at understanding things from text (I've always been better with audio and video learning), but I'll read through it a few more times and give it a shot the next time I'm setting up one of my unfixed bridges.

Thanks AxAxSxS for the advice! I did dig the guitar and everything but seeing as it was going to be my only guitar, I didn't feel like it was versatile enough for what I wanted and then the headache with trying to set it up gave me a headache. Sometime down the road I'll own another one and take your advice
I just want something that I know I'll get that will be a great player right out of the box that I can plug in and just play. Now I'm kinda put off by those Gibsons from what I am hearing about QC issues. Sucks sweetwater doesn't have the greatest selection, but I had to use the gift card I had laying around for awhile.

Awesome Nick! Looks like you all had fun! Girl that second from left was doing it right. Get that mud face on!

Here's some more silliness from last night and then I'll stop. Dude made a bunch of gifs from the pics he took which I think are hilarious and awesome.

I did the normal first show fuckups and forgot to put the bar on the trem on my main (first song intro features a dive) But we got through the set and about two songs in I had a bunch o people in my face and flashbulbs going off constantly and a mad response from the crowd at the end of each song.
We'll fix the minor issues we had and be better next time, but it felt great, had a TON of positive feedback and I'm still riding the good feels.
BIG thanks to Darren for coming out (and for grabbing my trem bar out of the case) I really fucking dig Ancient Warlocks and it was sweet to have him at our first show.
D, I'm gonna hit ya up for constructive criticism tomorrow. Shit went good, esp for a first outing but I know we can always make it better.
I can't wait for our next show now.

mate...i dont disagree with the bad rep of Gibsons...but a few months ago i took a chance on a Gibson SG, bought it online. Before i even got it, i was ready to post it back, because i just assumed i would have to do that a few times before i got a good one. I have to say, the SG i got is fantastic. I may have been lucky with that one...but it's definitely given me hope, that I would probably do that again if i was going to buy new again.

So what did I miss this weekend other then the Klon thread exploding into hilarity (AMAZING JOB AASS!!!!!)? I got some news....
I got me a VERELLEN!!!!!!

Won on the bay for a decent price and its still in Seattle so the seller's gonna drop it off for me at Ben's so he can install a tube buffered FX loop for me and give it a once through then he's gonna package and ship it to me. I'm fucking excited. It may look simple (as in not much for an EQ

) but I've been jamming around on our lead guitar players blackstar with the same setup on the clean channel and I love it. Plus paired witht he Skyhammer pre I'll have plenty of tonal possibilities, add on that it has a footswitch that has boosts for both the preamp and the power amp and its a mini doom head made in hell.

That amp is cool and all Skip, but I think you are missing out on the true gem. That chair! That is one sick chair. Kinda disturbing too.

Nevermind Skip. I'm sure there are other possessed chairs hanging about.
IN OTHER NEWS; I'm still waiting for Abanoise to send me photos of this JCM 800 Super Bass, but if this falls through, I'm looking for big loud clean amps to trade for my OTR120. Anyone have any suggestions or know anyone who might be interested?
