I need a list of good touring bands coming through chicago, I'm always too lazy to keep up on what I could potentially be missing. Recommended me a touring band or a large list right now.
You just need to befriend some more local music addicts. Between tony and darren I feel pretty well informed now. Every once in a blue moon I miss something but a lot less than I used to.
And what good is that full page article in the local hipster rag about LAST NIGHTS SHOW! So fucking what. Tell me about what's happening tomorrow.
Bandsintown is a great app that can help you track the shit you like, monitoring vebues is good to but I don't really bother with that anymore.
Had a fun time tonight. Gaytheist, Lesbian and Big Business. Met up with ryder/roadbull and his lady as well as darren and the lovely rita.
Fat people should not mosh. Especially if their idea of it is to randomly slam into people who are not moshing. I hate having a bad leg.
Note! If the cripple guy sends you flying and you outweigh him by 180 lbs, you are maybe not a badass and should stop.

I was for the longest time, and I've basically just streamlined it, but they were the only things I could let go of. The BC needs somebody whose actually gonna use it for the full pedal, I felt bad just using the OCD side. It's going to a great and deserving home though, so I'm happy.

Sweet I just figured out about songkick and bandsintown so I'm going to use those. I'm pretty well informed about local DIY shows that happen or at least the ones worth going to. I'm just really bad at keeping up with more mainstream acts or at least not exactly local DIY stuff. I'm glad I found stuff so I don't have to scour the venues to see what is going on.

well...hopefully in a few months you might switch to the amp i'm working on!
I should be launching it in August...just trying to get some funding for the marketing etc.
Also guys...i'll post on it later, but if anyone wants to be part of the test group for the App my friend I have developed, let me know and i'll add you to the list.

Ok this confused the hell out of me till I read it the 3rd time. App, not amp, was a little sad I could not be part of an amp test group. But if it involves tracking bands I'd love to try it! I'm an android user if that matters.

I'm always up to try new things! Anything that keeps me up with touring bands coming in although I feel as though a lot of the more niche bands that I like will never show up to Chicago even though it's a large city. Damn you New York and your touring band circuit. Either way let me know about the app, I would be testing it on an iphone though.

Add me to the app list.
Also, new Epic as fuck (for me at least) NPD.

Expression pedal for the HOG is off to the side.

Epic is a good word for that. That is the coolest looking Ritual I've seen yet. Where did you get it? Not to say that I'm going to potentially get one and be like you. But I might.
I've always wanted to play though a HOG for like an hour. Just enough time to disappoint myself into never buying one due to my lack of creativity with cool effects.
And Ryan's note is fucking awesome. I bet he could write haikus and/or other types of poetry and draw on them and sell them. He could get hella rich.

I asked Mark about doing a one off Ritual but couldn't afford the etching right now. He said that his printing guy was moving or something so he wouldn't be printing anything up for a while. He had this enclosure laying around though. It is one of the lexan labels like on the older Catalinbread pedals. Cool thing about this is that it glows in the dark. He only made the one though and never sold any because he was worried about it peeling off down the road. I had some Catalinbread stuff for a while and it never peeled so I think this will be pretty solid. Sounds fucking huge too just like I remember from the tourbox.
EDIT:
I gotta add this too. I paid for the Ritual on Wednesday night, he built it Thursday and then it was on my steps when I walked outside this morning. Super fucking fast transaction with Mark like always.

Songkick is so handy. I'll never miss a show again.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. You've really intrigued me on the Verellen. If it can replace both an OCD, Elements and LSTR, that's pretty damn enthralling. And you know how I love tube pedals.

I'd be very interested, but I'm on Android user.
That is awesome. I want a personal note from Ryan Summit too!
