Traveled to Nashville this weekend to watch The Body. Small crowd. Nice cab/amp array. Crushing tones. Good times.

No pics. I was too busy standing there with my eyes closed being drenched by sonic waves. It was like mini Sunn o))) or something. The room was pretty small and his setup completed drowned the pa and most of the drums. It was jarring which means it was great. Sunn Concert Lead and a power amp pushing 2 ampeg 810's, crate 412, and a peavey 210. The only dirt was a MXR Distortion +. My only complaint was the 4 hour drive and their set was way too short (30 mins).

That sounds pretty fucking wicked!!!! and yeah 4 hours for 30 minutes kinda sucks but unfortunately is par for the course.

MXR Dist + eh? Why do I keep finding out some of the most wicked dirt tones are coming from cheap MXR dirt boxes? :idk:

The excursion was fun even without getting to see any bands. Watching the body was the cherry on top. Low tuning. Clean amps. Massive volume. The type of dirt is almost secondary to that recipe. But I'm preaching to the choir. Lol.

Both times I saw them he was either using a RAT or a Micro Amp exclusively, into the power amps into the 8x10's and such. Parker from Cough has talked to him a few times about his gear and said his 8x10's are loaded with car speakers, and that he had patched some sort of feedback loops into the rack stuff which makes it pretty much explode when he hits it with a boost of any sort. Not sure though but damn is it terrifying. I'd venture to say it was louder than Sunn when we saw them, Skip, and JUST under the loudness of Jucifer... RULED.

The second time I saw them they collabed with Braveyoung and kept tripping the circuit in the building, just like when Sunn did haha

Damn dude that's gotta be pretty freaking loud then!!! Sunn O))) up near the stage was intense and insane. Back near the video games though it was this amazing flood of physical energy but not too much on the ears. Did I ever tell you I found a recording of that show?!?!? Randomly torrenting one day for Sunn and it popped up!!! I was like :wha?:  :yay:

Yeah dude, loud as balls. And I ended up taking my earplugs out at Sunn? :idk: I was standing about halfway between the stage and the bar. I could feel the pressure of the room moreso than the loudness on my ears if that makes sense. AND YAY SUNN RECORDINGS!!!!

I took my ear plugs out as well, but I was standing back at the bar so the Wifey had somewhere to sit, for most of the set. But walking by the stage was instant air pressure on the head.
