I'd throw it up for a grand shipped and see what offers I got.

You could try throwing in some preamp tubes with more headroom, but I'm not sure which ones to recommend (or if it would make a significant difference, I'm rather unfamiliar with that head/most Marshalls)

No shit, I thought the same damn thing. As far as haggling goes I saw some guy get shut down when I was in the store but he was being a bit of a douche nozzle about it. I bet if you inquired and/or bought multiple things they'd be more inclined to. It's a cool place though.

Fucking LOL, is that what was in that email? That was from an old email addy that I don't use anymore, it just forwards to my current one so I didn't know until this morning when I had a bunch of weird responses. Anyway, if anyone on here gets a fwd email from me, don't bother it's spam. AND SORRY!

Goddamn, speaker warehouse ey?
I wish we had one of those near me. I'm considering trying to punk rock together some whateverthefuck 12"s for the cab I've got in th garage. But pickings is slim locally, and the shipping beast almost makes it not worth it.
Don't suppose anyone has some dirt cheap guit speakers they wanna offload?....... Or give away? :poke:

They're Cerwin Vegas right? Does anyone know the actual model number for them? I ask because I was at a shop I frequent called Jammin Jerseys picking up some JBL G135's(super rare full frequency 15's that JBL made for guitar for a few years before they discontinued it) and I saw some Cerwin Vega "Earthquake Woofers" there. This place has a metric shit ton of super rare speakers so I wouldn't doubt that these could be it. They ship and have their catalog online here:

http://www.jamminjersey.com/speakers.php?prod=celestion

If you follow that link it looks like the model number for the Earthquake Woofers are described as such:

"189 ES 400 Watt 18" Earthquake Woofers - 8 ohm models feature massive magnets, massive 4 spoke cast frames, and factory smooth cones with tan color cloth surrounds. Look and sound excellent. 2 available. $300 a piece."

:idk:

thats the speakers axas.

189e or the 189 es.

you are very very very very lucky im cut the fuck off right now or i would buy both of them. . . .

http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showpo ... ostcount=9

and "whats the difference between the 189 e and the 189es

"The "E" stands for Earthquake and goes in the Sensurround Doghouse Cabinet which are the side cabinets. the "S" if I remember correctly were designed for use along with the Simplex Hybrid Amps, which had some efficiency problems, so in theory a 189es should be more efficient than the 189e."

if thats true. those are monster 70s woofers.

I thought that might be it. That place is just a warehouse floor to ceiling with all sorts of shit. Those JBLs I got were still in their original unopened box, the dude who runs the place went over to a JBL warehouse that was closing and just bought everything in there.

GAHHH! Why does epic shit always turn up right after I bought other epic shit!!! I'm gonna hafta keep those on the radar and save some pennies and hope nobody grabs em. I know a guy locally who's all about helping out with this. He's a speaker repair dude and geeked out on sensurround for about an hour when I brought it up. Probably would do it for free :D

Good lookin out man. Hopefully this can happen.

It's ugly and you shouldn't buy it!!!! :thumb:

To be the voice of reason, if you have the Dunwich coming up save your money for that. You've been waiting how long for it now? It's much wiser to invest in that, then something you've been lusting after for only a short amount of time. If your really that stricken with it then borrow the money for the guitar and use your actual cash for the Dunwich. That way if you don't end up liking the guitar all that much you can resell it fairly easily to repay your debt, due to the relatively unknown name of Dunwich especially on the emerald isle it would be much harder to recoup the money in that if you got stuck in a pinch.

p.s. Honestly, its a beautiful guitar and i love the white. Plus those BKP mules are amazing low output pickups. They match gloriously with a nice OD.

Sorry...but i do actually think its ugly...it reminds me a lot of the PRS Nivaro sig model...although it doesn't have gold hardware and trem, I'm just not much of a fan of double cuts like that. But i get why you would want it...the sheer bargain, and it could end up a real good guitar. But knowing the other guitars you have, i would think that you are covered on the guitar side.

I would say get the Dunwich for now...good deals on guitars come and go...but a Dunwich is an amp for life...right?

You know I'm gonna have to take your balls right? Your a brave man, and I appreciate your devotion. But you expressly told me that if anyone revealed the rules, even you, I MUST take their balls.

I'm kinda with sam on this, and the neck join would drive me nuts the way it is not flush with the body. I'm sure its a very nice well crafted guitar, but I'd not go near it.
