I'm fucking thrilled it got there safe and in good working order. That thing just sounds lush. I bet that cab is great for it. Good vibes all around. Had a decent practice and then messed around with an old riff idea. Tony went on a tangent, we ran with it, inspiration happened we tied it all back into the riff that started it and BAM! new 8 minute long song that kills. I'm listening to playback right now and loving it.
:!!!: :doom: :!!!:
The Doom Gods smile on us all today.

Too long and repetitive.
:surprise:

I dig! What's your recording setup? Sounds solid for a scratch/live take.

Stream of High On Fire's live album coming out next week. They sound fucking KILLER

It's no Live At The Contamination Festival, but this last tour was definitely super-tight. Going to pick this up as a "man I was thurr." memento.

And because I can't help but purchase everything from the Sleep family tree.

Also, Sleep is probably the Platonic ideal of the best band ever. Not up for discussion.

YUS! :thumb:

I mean, dude, I had to hunt for Dopesmoker when Tee Pee put it out. I was really into Kyuss and High on Fire--OM hadn't quite surfaced yet, so imagine my surprise when I finally found the fucker (on vinyl, no less) after researching the shit out of it [ via stonerrock and allmusic], learning all about this mythical lost record that was as heavy as ever a heavy has heavied.

And, after finally listening to it, it was indeed as good as advertised. So I had to hunt down Holy Mountain. and Volume 1. Vol 2 still eludes me in the physical sense.

So, basically, I kind of like Sleep in the "so much listening it might as well be osmosis" way.
