I can't see the original statement, so it's hard to comment specifically.
"Ugly" can be a (and I hate to overuse the term) nuanced word in English because it can be either personal or impersonal (an ugly person vs an ugly situation for example)
Worse can apply to the tangible (such as physical appearance) OR the intangible (such as quality of spirit or character) with the difference only being indirectly (implied/inferred) understood.
"Bob is an ugly person" could mean either (or both)

I find Devi Ever to be a terribly ugly person who does ugly things.
Her lying about an HCFX member as a "gamergater" (this was during her rabid anti-gamergate phase) when he tried to reach out to her was ugly
Her lambasting kickstarter supporters with "Fuck You! you don't know shit" when they were upset is ugly
Her treatment of Dwarfcraft is ugly
Her treatment of the maker of Minecraft is ugly.

and, yes, the acts are so persistent and deeply rooted I think it's part and parcel with her identity so I think she's a terribly ugly person.

I know its a sin to besmirch Gene Wilder this way, but I can imagine Devi pretending she's in a Gene Wilder Chocolate Factory and telling all of her (previous) fans and supporters they lose and get nothing then huffing in a corner.

They had charm, like fugly dogs. Like pugs. But y'know. Next dog I get it'll be a Golden Retriever or Husky. Something with a classic Puppy Face- something you can rub and go "puppy puppy puppy" and not pull your hand away covered in drool like "ew....fuckin gross dog".

I think that's an apt description of Devi pedals. They need love, too. But damn.

ok thanks for the help and inseides! i meant the pedal graphics design is ugly just my opinion becuase ugly as a sound is sometimes pretty cool. remindes me how much i miss my geiger counter.

The saddest part is my favorite alltime wacko pedal is a Devi creation.

I had it tweaked and improved since neither she nor Dwarfcraft showed interest in doing another and was patient seeing if one would come out.

The biggest nice thing I can say is at least the schematics are out there, and didn't have to be traced or guessed at.

Unless you've got a pedal that's basically a one-off or Monday afternoon hangover one and it's glorious, and you have to send it off to be cloned specifically because it's such an ugly duckling.

At least when aen builds them there built right!

I see Devi's now asking for pre-orders in order to raise money to finish building her new fuzz. When does it end/begin? It's like sloshing a big bag of jellied eels or some shit down a flight of stairs and calling it your life. I don't know.
