how is the new album? I have one of their cassettes from a couple of years back, thought it was alright.

Pretty damn outstanding. I've listened through it about 4 times since I bought it last night. Great stuff. Incredibly intense and surprisingly melodic at the same time. Now I need to track down some of that older stuff. I think at least one old cassette EP has been digitized - do you know?

The old ep has been turned into a cd/vinyl/digital release now. I dont really like the record though, maybe I need to spend more time with it, but I think I may have been caught up in the hype machine over them.

Dude, Slim Cessna, Munly, et al. make some of my favorite music. I've seen SCAC probably 5 times now. Munly is an awesome dude too. Bought me a beer, haha. Jimmy Carter Syndrome and The Lee Lewis Harlots disc are always on rotation here. Listen too them all the damn time. The first three Slim albums are awesome!

Tarantella is great too.

Too bad "American Country Music Saved Her Life" will probably never be reissued.

Yeah I have been a fan of 16hp/wovenhand for a while but never got around to checking out SCAC until recently, awesome stuff. Munly's solo stuff is amazing too, the Lee Lewis Harlots album is probably my favorite out of this lot. I also really dig the Jesus Let Me Down live cd. I'll be seeing them at the end of the month for the first time! Still keeping an eye out for some of the related stuff at a reasonable price (american country music, blackstone valley sinners, denver gentlemen, etc)

I think Denver Broncos UK is going to release something soon. The Jesus Let Me Down Live CD is awesome. I agree that the Lee Lewis one is pretty much the best overall. The show I saw on that tour was one of the top two shows I have every seen. It was at the Hotel Utah in SF and I stood next to Biafra. Chatted with him for a long time and saw one of the greatest live shows ever. I think the first time I saw them was in 2001.

MBV and For Long Tomorrow. Why did no one tell me he mastering on the MBV vinyl was so much better than the MP3/CD, jesus. It's almost like an entirely different album.
