JC in a box would be nice, especially with the reverb. I've always thought its reverb sounds great.rfurtkamp wrote:Yea, the original was over the top, it was what it was, the vibe circuit in the JC is not exactly subtle either.
If I can have the vibe and the JC circuit in one box though!

Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
Yea, it does.
The joke is I have a patch that's 99.9% (sometimes better) than the actual Jazz Chorus worked up in the Boss GT-001/100.
My guess on them releasing a standalone modelling box version is "why" when there's a couple of their units that have had it down pat for years.
Hell, even my GR-55 does a very, very good JC120 if I don't want the vibe mode - wasn't until the newer stuff that the vibe switch was right.

I remember the Cube series had a really nice JC model, too.rfurtkamp wrote:Yea, it does.

What's your topology for that patch?

Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
For the JC120, the included JC amp model on both, compression up about 60% on the amp tweak knob, treble boosted aobout as much as the bass is cut, presence sliced a hair. Open-back cab model, 2x15 (instead of 2x12, it just sounds and feels more correct). For the JC-50 patch (which I use late night when I don't want to piss off the neighbors) I've got it as the proper 1x12 but have off-axis fauxfriendship wrote: I remember the Cube series had a really nice JC model, too.

Chorus circuit post-preamp, rate on the LFO a little slower than the normal circuit (went with the one on my JC-50 that's seen a lot of use and likely circuit drift). Tweaked a hair to be more subtle than the JC usually is. Vibe is footswitchable on/off (also kills chorus) and goes seasick almost instantly. Debating doing another variant with the seasick on the expression pedal for the days my foot is well enough to use one.
Verb long spring with no spring bounce - the ones I've had don't have any in the amp itself unless I kicked them. Alternate version of same patch has a plate verb instead of a spring (if I want to go DI instead of out to an amp in the room, I use that one).

Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
when i had the V1 it didn't bleed and it went far enough into trem territory but definitely not something i'd use as a normal trem.
i remember a few people saying it was pretty shit on bass though.

There's no way the CE-2W is going to be $260. Surely that's got to be the suggested price and not the sale price.jrfox92 wrote:Will this be a CE-2W killer?

The DM-2W carries a $293 MSRP, with a $149 street value. The VB-2W has a list of $299, but an actual asking price of $199.

Yeah, I made that argument (plus the dreaded "it probably costs less than $50 to make the damn thing" argument) and people don't bother listening.echorec wrote:There's no way the CE-2W is going to be $260. You'd think those who spend $10 off full price to buy a used Strymon would get over an MSRP of $260, but apparently not.

Pike's been using the Pharoah(?) forever so that makes sense.
