nightterrors, that blows also. Its funny how it only takes one band of dumbasses to ruin a place for everyone. You should get together with the other bands and "sort them out..."

Hahaha, oh believe me... We thought about it.

But I guess those dudes took it very seriously and bought a bunch of blankets and baffles for every room and left them outside outside our door. I was quite surprised.

That's my reaction too. I sold my Sovtek so I could keep my Orange.

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking, I guess I've just been annoyed at my in and out with bands and projects and just wanting something to do with something. I've been trying to sell a bunch of crap so I can get some different flavors or do something different. I'm just really out of wack with the lack of projects.

I feel like playing by yourself with so many speakers and no band to speak of is just starting to kill my vibe.

Totally.

For what its worth, all of my favorite doom-and-heavy bands eventually downsized when they started getting more gigs.

Except for Sleep. But they don't count, because they did the nostalgia-fests-and-tours circuit right from their reunion.

Oh and I scored a vintage traynor cab for 300 bucks, and so now I have a 2x12 and a 4x12 stacked on top of each other.

Do you guys know any good rat clone, or something similar. I may get some sort of OCD clone or something cool.

Definitely look into the Fuzzrocious Rat tail and Fuzzrocious Oh See Demon!

+1

Also, check out the Walrus Audio Iron Horse if you want extra gain. Nick @ Dunwich is currently prototyping a RAT clone running at 36v for super high headroom. I'm looking forward to that one.

I think you'd regret it. Unless you prefer the sound of a Hiwatt/Marshall/Sovtek type of amp, I think you'll regret it. More cabs can be added in the future. There is nothing wrong with rocking one 4x12 until. Forget all those that say otherwise.

Its just a shitty situation that im doing what I can to deal with. KInd words are awesome and always appreciated. SO far im still alive so its all good :) Ive seen that vid and its kickass for sure, Good for him having the balls to see past things and try and help when its needed, not just asked.

Iommic Pope wrote:Ok, I couldn't watch that at work today, finally sussed it. She has an amazing voice. I love a strong female voice singing the blues. It is pretty much my number one turn on...that and a husky speaking voice. I don't mean to be a dick and underwrite her talent or the awesomeness of that band, but I cant help it. That shit just cuts me straight to the core. They're friggin great though. Nice to hear a different approach to the Sabbathian teachings.

Yeah I'm going to keep it, I'm just being exasperated at not selling anything and over that just wanting a simpler set up or something I don't really know. I kind of just feel like jamming and maybe my mind is starting to go crazy over the fact that I got shit to do but want to start playing with people again.

I hope I can sell my rat and micro pog or trade it for a rat tail or some other ratty type pedal.

I know the feeling dude. I just always put it into this perspective: if the item(s) of question are of a value that I know that I will never easily have again, keep them. You'll find over time if you get rid of things that there were certain things you missed, whether corky or not about whatever it is that you miss.

If you want a change of pace, just try making small pedalboards out of pedals you have laying around. Or arrange them differently. I do it ALL the time when I think I don't like a pedal before I get rid of it! It also leads to new sounds and possibilities!

Yeah for real angsty about boredom classic suburban teenage problems. Except I'm a city dweller in my early 20's.

I think I might try to slim down even harder and just make some fun but limited combinations. Maybe only jam with 3 pedals at a time or something. Phaser, Musket, PS-2. I need to actually post my doom room set up pictures.

Yep! I do that all the time. Challenge: smallest usable pedalboard as possible.
Also try putting your entire pedalboard backwards. It's insane.
