If its shiny and silver its steel if its orange and dull they're brass, that's the easiest way I know.

It's not shiny any more. It APPEARS, at a glance, that it's brass underneath with a steely finish on top. I say this because there is what looks to be an oval area on the saddle that the picking hand rests on that has worn away. It looks like brass, with a golden colour, while the rest of it appears to be steel. Which is what's confusing me.

a lot of older guitars used aluminum parts for the stop tailpiece. Over the years, cheap, newer parts are just different zinc alloys and are cast. Chrome it up and it is super shiny. I'm not entirely sure what my tailpiece is, the brass is just very easy to tell for the saddles.

those guys are easily the funnest band ever. It's like stand up comedy and then melt your face metal. C.F.A. Cody Foster Army. if you find yourself lost in the PNW looking for Bigfoot or some shit, take the time to go to one of their shows. Male nudity and bonghits may ensue.

Dont worries, I dont have that much of a life. Ok, now I think about it I kinda do. I'm blessed to have a band, wife, a few friends and to live here in Wa which is a beautiful place with some amazing bands. I do know plenty of people who have the same exact circumstances as I do and hate life. I think it's important to put in effort to engage life. I almost didn't go last night. If I hadn't talked with the Beiber impersonator there earlier and arranged to get a CFA hoodie, I might not have gone. None of my close friends went. So I went solo, ran into some people who are cool and had a fucking blast!
I'm hungover rambling here dont mind me.
Just trying to say that we all need to appreciate what we have and that putting in the effort to get out there pays dividends. Also TJ you should move here. YOU SHOULD ALL MOVE HERE!

I know what you mean about pushing yourself to go out and do things, it usually worth the effort. You just gotta man up, stopp looking at pedalboards and go do something haha.

Ok well I guess nows a good time to put it out there. Ive been asked to leave my home. They raised the rent another 100 bucks and said they want me out. Which also means I will likely be losing my business with it. I need to find a new place to live, and a place to work. I dont make hardly enough to pay for an apartment myself, but I also cant handle living with other people so Im kinda fucked right now. also an apartment in my area is like 1200 BEFORE utilities.

Im trying to bust out these last few guitars, and other projects before im out as fast as I can and im freaking out over the whole "my entire lifes falling apart and I have to start over again and Im not ready" thing. Basically I feel like I did when I moved out at 18, i feel like im going in reverse, back to no money and shitty place in the ghetto. Woodworking is the only thing that keeps me alive and out of horrendous depression basically, once thats gone I have no idea what im going to do with myself.
