I love GK and that looks killer! If I were you, I'd grab a used 1001rb though. Sooo cheap.

i'm not really a solid-state guy, but if i was looking for a bass amp it'd be hard to resist a 300W-500W bass head you could carry in a messenger bag w/o putting your neck out of joint.

I think I'd have to get some much more efficient cabs or I'd risk blowing the speakers, the Sunn cab was made for the Sonaro head (60W) so it can probably take 100W or maybe 200 but I doubt it and the SWR I'm supposed to get tomorrow has a power handling of 350W. A 400RB would probably be a better fit ? Are they as good ?
I'm kinda thinking of either getting an old Acoustic Control Corp (if I can find one) or maybe something lighter like those GK, Aguilar, Ashdown, etc.. but I don't know much about these...
If the trade goes well tomorrow I'll see how much headroom I got with the Ampeg V2 going through the Sunn 115 and a SWR Son of Bertha 115.
If I feel like getting something else I might do a thread about it..

The Sunn cab probably isn't going to add much because that SWR cab is going to be way more efficient. Headroom-wise that V2 is probably going to get dirty pretty quick.
Another pedal that I have no idea what I need it for, but I definitely need it for something

2019 is when Peak Board happened: What do I kick off to put the Drolo Stretch Weaver in its place? So many great pedals out there.

Fairfield's Four Eyes....
Our beloved Four Eyes Fuzz is retiring.
Good night, sweet prince.
Someone made a MIDI accessory for the MF-104M, providing 9 presets or options for live-tweaking. I think I'll buy one, but I don't think I'll buy one for all of my 104Ms.
Four Eyes has been undersung imo. Be watching w/ interest in to see what might crop up in its place
Also--looks like Cloudy has a little Parasite in him. I wonder if it will be possible to get other alternative Clouds firmware in there, like the fairly awesome Kammerl....

Yeah, I was lucky to grab one. Gonna' run the CV out of the Mission Control into it as well as a 16 step sequencer. Will report back.

i guess i'm the only one who can't imagine any musical use for the Stretch Weaver at all.

The Stretch Weaver seems very interesting. Every sound in that demo was great, plus the pedal looks absolutely gorgeous. Wish I understood it better, though. It’s going to be cool seeing demos of how two musicians will be using this thing. Plus you can just plug it in your guitar, and trigger those sounds from your own playing, I guess? Cool pedal, kind of want it
