Hmmm looks like some of the caps have been changed, but still has a two prong cord.

That's be the bass version of the Earth heads I have. LOUD! single channel, No reverb or tremolo circuits on those, fender based (cloned). I tend to automatically put Earth/Plush at $300. That said, it looks really clean, has a cool sunn looking headshell, I have not seen one exactly like that. From the look of it, you will want to service it, get the cord updated, go through the caps. It's possible they only replaced one that failed? IMO If you are fixing up an old amp, do it all. all the caps, good or bad, new cord, check resistors, the whole nine yards. I'd start at 300 and work something out. Looks pretty fucking sweet.

I know this is to much, but I may pursue it. This is a VTM 120 yes? Anyone had this particular head? Pros? cons? Pic sucks and the seller didn't exactly do a great job of providing info.

It is definitely a VTM 120. $500 probably isn't awful if the cab is included.
I bought my VTM60 for $225 about 2 years ago.
Sadly, seller modded it for EL34s and added a bass boost mod. It was in pretty rough shape but was very playable at the time. Currently it's out of its head shell in my practice space so that I can redo the tolex and then take it in to be serviced.
I like the 60, it's nice. It gets gritty and I like that. I haven't had enough time with it lately to speak well to it. When I first bought it I was testing it at this guys house with a Bad Monkey and that fucker thumped something good. Not like the RedBear but still had some nice response.

Haha that VTM is what I've been on the lookout for. Probably $350-400 is the top of the range I'd probably pay for one.
